๐ŸŒ… My Realistic School Morning Routine as a Mom ๐ŸŽ’โ˜•๏ธ

School morningsโ€ฆ you either love them or survive them. ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ™ˆ

If youโ€™re picturing a peaceful morning with everyone dressed, breakfast finished, hair perfectly brushed, and bags waiting by the door โ€” Iโ€™m here to tell you: that is NOT my house. ๐Ÿ˜‚

Hereโ€™s what a realistic school morning looks like for me as a mom. โค๏ธ

โฐ 6:00 AM โ€” My alarm goes off

I wake up and immediately think, โ€œJust five more minutesโ€ฆโ€ ๐Ÿ˜ด๐Ÿ˜‚

Of course, those five minutes somehow turn into ten, but eventually I get up, open the curtains, make the bed (most days ๐Ÿ˜‰), and head straight for the coffee machine. โ˜•๏ธ

Because honestlyโ€ฆ coffee first, everything else second. ๐Ÿ˜‚

๐Ÿฅช 6:30 AM โ€” Lunchbox & breakfast duty

Next comes the lunchbox marathon. ๐Ÿฅช๐ŸŽ๐Ÿงƒ

Iโ€™m packing snacks, making sandwiches, filling water bottles, and trying to remember who likes what today. ๐Ÿ˜…

Breakfast is usually something quick โ€” cereal, toast, fruit, or whatever I can get onto a plate before someone announces:

โ€œMum, Iโ€™m not hungry!โ€ ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿ˜‚

๐Ÿ‘• 7:00 AM โ€” Wake the kids

And now the real fun begins. ๐Ÿ˜‚

โ€œGood morning, sweetheart!โ€ โค๏ธ

โ€œWake up!โ€

โ€œCome on, weโ€™re going to be late!โ€

โ€œPLEASE PUT YOUR SOCKS ON!โ€ ๐Ÿงฆ๐Ÿคฃ

Some mornings they jump out of bed ready to go.

Other mornings, getting dressed feels like negotiating an international peace treaty. ๐Ÿ˜‚

๐Ÿชฅ 7:20 AM โ€” The bathroom battle

Teeth brushed? ๐Ÿชฅ
Hair brushed? ๐Ÿ’‡โ€โ™€๏ธ
Face washed?
Shoes on?

At least one of these questions gets answered with:

โ€œI forgot!โ€ ๐Ÿ˜‚

And somehow weโ€™re looking for a missing shoe five minutes before we need to leave. ๐Ÿ‘Ÿ๐Ÿ™ƒ

๐ŸŽ’ 7:40 AM โ€” The final checklist

Backpacks? ๐ŸŽ’โœ…
Lunchboxes? ๐Ÿฅชโœ…
Water bottles? ๐Ÿ’งโœ…
Homework? ๐Ÿ“š
Jacket? ๐Ÿงฅ
Shoes? ๐Ÿ‘Ÿ
Everyone actually in the car? ๐Ÿš—๐Ÿ˜‚

I do one final sweep of the house because there is always something left behind.

๐Ÿš— 8:00 AM โ€” Out the door!

We finally make it out.

Sometimes we leave early.
Sometimes we leave exactly on time.
And sometimesโ€ฆ weโ€™re running down the street like weโ€™re competing in the Olympics. ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿ’จ

But eventually, we arrive at school, usually with a quick hug, a kiss, and a:

โ€œHave a great day! I love you!โ€ โค๏ธ

And just like thatโ€ฆ the morning chaos is over.

โ˜•๏ธ My little moment of peace

Once the kids are at school, I finally take a deep breath. ๐Ÿ˜Œ

I grab another coffee, tidy up the kitchen, and enjoy a few quiet moments before the next part of the day begins.

Is my morning routine perfect?

Absolutely not. ๐Ÿ˜‚

Is it organized every single day?

Definitely not. ๐Ÿ™ˆ

But itโ€™s ours.

There are messy breakfasts, missing socks, forgotten homework, sleepy faces, lots of rushingโ€ฆ and somehow, lots of love in between. โค๏ธ

Because motherhood isnโ€™t about having perfect mornings. Itโ€™s about showing up, doing your best, and getting everyone where they need to be โ€” even when youโ€™re running on coffee and 5 hours of sleep. โ˜•๏ธ๐Ÿ˜‚

Hereโ€™s to all the moms surviving school mornings one cup of coffee at a time! โ˜•๏ธ๐Ÿ™Œโค๏ธ
