The internet says a cozy morning looks like this:
🕯️ Lighting a candle
☕️ Sipping coffee in silence
📖 Reading a few pages of a book
🧘♀️ Taking a peaceful moment to myself
🌅 Slowly easing into the day
And then there’s my version. 😅
☕️ Make coffee. Reheat coffee. Forget coffee. Find coffee three hours later.
🧒 “MOMMMMM!” before my feet have even touched the floor.
🥣 Make breakfast for everyone while answering approximately 47 questions.
🧦 Search for the missing sock that apparently determines whether the entire morning is ruined.
🧹 Clean something that will be dirty again in 4.5 minutes.
💇♀️ Attempt to brush my hair while someone needs help with something immediately.
🚪 Herd everyone out the door while wondering if I’ve actually had breakfast myself.
And the cozy candle?
Still unlit. 🕯️😂
But maybe this is the cozy part. ❤️
The sleepy cuddles.
The tiny voices calling for me.
The messy kitchen.
The warm little bodies climbing into my lap.
The chaos that, somehow, I know I’ll miss one day.
It may not be the slow, silent, aesthetic morning I imagined…
…but it’s ours. 🥹☕️🤎
So here’s to cozy-ish mornings — coffee in one hand, chaos in the other. 😂✨
