Life with school kids is a little bit of everything β busy, noisy, messy, exhausting, hilarious, and incredibly precious. β€οΈ
Mornings start with a countdown. β°
βGet dressed!β
βBrush your teeth!β πͺ₯
βWhere are your shoes?β π
βDid you pack your school bag?β π
And somehow, despite saying the same things every single morning, we still end up rushing out the door with one child looking for a missing sock and another suddenly remembering they need a special craft project today. π
Then comes homework. πβοΈ
There are spelling words to practise, maths problems to solve, books to read, school forms to sign, and approximately 47 pencils that mysteriously disappear every week. π
Some afternoons are calm and productive. Others involve tired children, tired parents, and the question:
βDo we really have to do homework?β
Yes.
βEven today?β
Also yes. π
But somewhere between the school runs, packed lunches, forgotten water bottles, playdates, sports practices, and bedtime negotiations, there are the moments that make it all worthwhile. π₯°
The random stories they tell at dinner. π
The drawings they proudly bring home. π¨
The hugs after a difficult day. π€
The giggles that come from absolutely nowhere. π
The little conversations at bedtime when suddenly they decide itβs the perfect time to tell you everything. ππ
Life with school kids isnβt always easy. Some days feel like weβre simply trying to keep everyone fed, clean, organised, and on time. π΄
But these years are also full of firsts, discoveries, friendships, growing independence, and memories weβll wish we could relive someday. β¨
So hereβs to the early mornings, messy backpacks, lunchbox crumbs, homework battles, lost socks, school projects, proud smiles, and sleepy cuddles. πβ€οΈ
Itβs chaotic.
Itβs loud.
Itβs exhausting.
And somehow, itβs also one of the sweetest seasons of life. ππ
