{"id":1863,"date":"2026-09-07T02:19:45","date_gmt":"2026-09-07T06:19:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/basicmom.blog\/?p=1863"},"modified":"2026-09-26T07:41:12","modified_gmt":"2026-09-26T11:41:12","slug":"weekly-reset-getting-organized-selling-clothes-settling-into-our-new-home","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/basicmom.blog\/index.php\/2026\/09\/07\/weekly-reset-getting-organized-selling-clothes-settling-into-our-new-home\/","title":{"rendered":"\u2728 Weekly Reset: Getting Organized, Selling Clothes &amp; Settling Into Our New Home \ud83c\udfe1"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"p3\">There\u2019s something about a new week that makes me want to hit reset. \u2615\u2728 A fresh Monday, a clean slate, and a little motivation to finally tackle all those things that have been sitting on the to-do list.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"p3\">Lately, life has been all about <strong>getting organized, letting go, and settling into our new home<\/strong> \u2014 and honestly, it feels so good. \ud83e\udd0d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>\ud83e\uddfa Getting Organized<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"p3\">Moving into a new house is exciting\u2026 but the boxes, random piles, and <em>\u201cwhere did I put that?\u201d<\/em> moments? Not quite as exciting. \ud83d\ude02\ud83d\udce6<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"p3\">This week, I\u2019m focusing on getting everything a little more organized. Nothing too overwhelming \u2014 just taking it one room, one drawer, and one cupboard at a time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"p3\">My goal isn\u2019t perfection. It\u2019s creating a home that feels calm, functional, and easy to live in. \u2728<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>\ud83d\udc57 Selling Clothes &amp; Decluttering<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"p3\">I\u2019ve also been going through my wardrobe and pulling out pieces I no longer wear. \ud83d\udc5a\ud83d\udc56<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"p3\">It\u2019s amazing how much easier it is to let things go when you ask yourself: <strong>\u201cWould I actually choose this today?\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"p3\">If the answer is no, it\u2019s time for someone else to enjoy it. \ud83d\udc95 So I\u2019m sorting, photographing, listing, and getting a few things ready to sell.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"p3\">A little extra space + a little extra money = definitely worth the effort. \ud83d\udcb8\ud83d\ude4c<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>\ud83c\udfe1 Settling Into the New House<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"p3\">And then there\u2019s the best part: making the new house feel like <em>home<\/em>. \ud83e\udd70<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"p3\">We\u2019re slowly figuring out where everything belongs, adding little touches here and there, and getting into a routine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"p3\">I\u2019m trying not to rush this part. A home doesn\u2019t become yours overnight \u2014 it happens gradually, through the everyday things. A favorite mug on the counter \u2615, fresh flowers on the table \ud83c\udf37, cozy evenings on the sofa \ud83d\udecb\ufe0f, and all those little details that make a space feel personal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>\ud83c\udf3f This Week\u2019s Reset<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"p3\">So this week, I\u2019m keeping it simple:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"p3\">\u2610 Finish organizing a few boxes<br \/>\u2610 Declutter the wardrobe<br \/>\u2610 List clothes I no longer wear \ud83d\udc57<br \/>\u2610 Tackle one small area at a time<br \/>\u2610 Add a few cozy touches around the house \ud83d\udd6f\ufe0f<br \/>\u2610 Create a little more calm and a little less clutter<br \/>\u2610 Enjoy the process instead of rushing through it \ud83e\udd0d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"p3\">Sometimes a reset isn\u2019t about completely starting over.
